The Spirit of God asked, “what will you do when your world falls apart?” (see prophetic Word at the end of this article). This Word speaks of building our faith upon the Rock, which cannot be washed away. Christ is the Rock.
Parable of Mt. 7:24-27
“Therefore whosoever heareth these saying of Mine, & doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house (of faith) upon the rock: And the rain descended, & the floods came, & the winds blew, & beat upon that house; & if fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine, & doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, & the floods came, & the winds blew, & beat upon that house; and it fell: & great was the fall of it.”
It is noted that the ancient law codes (see Lev. 26:3-45; Dt. 28:3-6, 16-19) concluded with a blessing and a curse. This is not some say, however, a direct statement that the LORD will reward or punish, & it can be applied either to the coming judgment or to the crises of life. Scholars point out that similar ideas are found in Ps. 1:1 & Jer. 17:5-8. They point us to a rabbinical parable found in the Aboth R. Nathan that reads: “A man who has works & has learnt much Torah, to what may he be likened? To a man who builds below with stones & above with adobe; & when much water comes & surrounds it, the stones are not moved from their place. But a man who has no good works & learns Torah, to what may he be likened? To a man who builds first with adobe & then with stones, & when even small streams come, they are immediately toppled over.”
Here in Matthew the form is in most respects more primitive than Luke’s (6:47-49). It’s 2 characters are Palestinian. The wise builds on a rock; the foolish builds on sand.
What Sayings?
Mt. 7:24 & 26 mentions “these saying of mine” (Jesus’). The 2 preceding chapters are in sight; doctrines. There are several other parables or similitudes (beside the one mentioned) like to this by other rabbins.
Rabbi Eleasar: “The man whose knowledge exceeds his works, to whom is he like? He is like a tree which had many branches, & only a few roots; &, when the stormy winds came, it was plucked up & eradicated. But he whose good works are greater than his knowledge, to what is he like? He is like a tree which had few branches, & many roots; so that all the winds of heaven could not move it from its place.” (Pirke Aboth);
Elisha, the son of Abuja: “The man who studies much in the law, & maintains good works, is like to a man who built a house, laying stones at the foundation, & building brick upon them; &, though many waters come against it, they cannot move it from its place. But the man who studies much in the law, & does not maintain good works, is like to a man who, in building his house, put brick at the foundation, & laid stones upon them, so that even gentle waters shall overthrow that house.” (Aboth Rab. Nath.)
I think the Lord Jesus had these in mind when he stated Mt. 7:24-27. He knew of the Jewish archetype. To a wise/prudent builder, they have a sense of understanding. Q. Does today’s Church have wise understanding? Look how far it has been WASHED AWAY by the floods of evil! The world has set up camp in the middle of it. Talk about building upon sand!!! The rain of filth & perversion has descended – floods of the ungodly/unsaved has flooded in. Great torrents have destroyed many Biblical doctrines/laws of morality. Sinful passions have replaced love for God & His Word. Many Church-goers are partaking of the “forbidden”, wiping their mouths & saying, “I’m doing nothing wrong!” Tempestuous storms sent by the devil & his demons have ruined much of what is called “God’s Church”.
Morality delivered by Scripture is shamed; foolishness is being embraced as wisdom. Men & women, boys & girls are not being CONFORMED to Jesus’ way – they are being conformed to the devil’s way… calling it “Christian”. Self-deception is rising like flood-waters, drowning the “sinning saints”. They consider Jesus’ teachings/instructions/doctrines to be too strict, harsh, too unloving, too impossible to keep & obey. But these very things are meant to liberate not obliterate.
Great Comeback?
After the Murder of Charlie Kirk, America is experiencing a revival of sorts. She is having a “WAKE UP” moment, especially among the youth. We thank God for this. People of all ages & all political/social beliefs are coming to Jesus. Millions are “waking up” to the realization that Death & Destruction are on the rampage… taking as many into their ranks as possible. Floods of EVIL have devastated large populations of our cities via drugs & crime, while churches sit mostly empty. Even if they aren’t filled each week, we can be “Filled” with the Holy Spirit & Fire!!! By giving up our lives to Christ, (figuratively) we can change America from the GROTESQUE to the GLORIOUS.
Run away from the sand, man, stand upon the Rock (who is Christ, Greek, Petra/ πέτρα, 1 Cor. 10:4).
Only upon Christ Jesus the Lord can the life of men, women, boys, & girls… nations STAND! While politics and psychological methods are discussed or our system of national defense & education, if we do not include HIM we will not STAND STRONG. While the enemies of Christ & country falsify us, condemn us, we continue to stand.
Christ: the Foundation
We are, as Paul the apostle of Christ wrote, “… God’s fellow workers; you (we) are God’s field, you (we) are God’s building. According to the grace of God which was given to Me, as a wise Master builder I have laid the FOUNDATION (Gk., THEMELIOS, or THEMELION), & another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he (or she) builds on it. For no other FOUNDATION can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ,” 1 Cor. 3:9-11. The apostle goes on to write about the building materials: gold, silver, precious stones or wood, hay, & straw, vs. 12.
Two-fold folly: what if a person builds upon the sand using wood, hay, & straw? Do you think the building will stand? Do you think todays “WOKE”/ “P.C.”/ “LGBTQ plus” Church will stand the fire of God? Today’s Church (with exceptions) is not strong. Its people live any one way, hence, “GREAT WILL BE THE FALL OF IT!!!”
New Generation
We thank God for a new generation being birthed. And we also thank God for the old/present generation that has remained TRUE & FAITHFUL thru all this “Hell-on-Earth” brought on by treasonous peoples in political power (esp. the part Biden admin.). God has been telling us that He is raising up a new breed of believers, i.e., “Righteousness Warriors”. Enlist today!
WOS – When Your World Collapses
I speak unto you this day and I ask, what will you do when your world falls apart? There are many unforeseen tragedies which come about in life and when those come people are blown every which way. I do not want you to be blown about by the storms of adversity to the extent that you are unable to cope and are likewise washed away in the filthy flood waters of sin.
It is My intention for those who are Mine that they would remain looking to Me and being aware that in every thing, there is a reason which may not be clear to you however your Faith can uphold you through anything. This in thought, do not look as though there are solutions in the world for all the devil and his demons offer are hollow and merely enticements to death.
Consider that terrible things happen to saint and sinner alike and what matters is the response people give in the same. I do not want you to go down under darkness and be overwhelmed in the same. I want you to come up into Me and partake continually of the goodness I give to you so that you will know there is no good thing which I withhold from you. When you are partaking of My mercies, you will find no matter how much your world has collapsed, that I remain as the One True God forever. Which means you are blessed to have the indwelling of My Holy Spirit to guide you in My Way and to uplift you and direct you each and every day.
Stop and look at those who have no faith and their worlds collapse, what do they have to turn to? Many of them willingly accept and go for the devil’s deceptions and add sin unto sin, increasing their present misery in this life and damnation in the end.
As those who are Mine, you are not meant to be caught up in the triangle of terror which is so common in these times, I do not want those who are Mine to collapse to the pressure of Fear, I want them to keep in FAITH. You are truly blessed because you are built upon the ROCK and cannot be washed away. However if you look at the waves of the sea of iniquity attempting to lure you in, you can slip and fall into the murky waters of the same and be drowned. Do not look down, look up to Me and you will see Me as I am, the ROCK who remains as the sure foundation.
There are so many people who have built their worlds on the shifting sands and they are sinking because they are not built on the Sure Foundation which the builders rejected who is the Corner Stone. When people in these times are building on so many delusions, allusions, imaginations, and lies, where do they end? They will end in the muck and mire of the world and find they only sink in profanity, perversity, and insanity.
The more that you face in this world and keep strong in your Faith the more you will be able to Shine as lights in a very dark and sin sick world. Be knowing how good it is to serve Me, My Son, My Spirit and to be in the company of the Redeemed. So many who have claimed themselves to be Christians are cursing against the circumstances of misery because their worlds have collapsed. How much better it would be if they would draw of the strength ever present and be Lights Shining forth to those in darkness.
Yet, when the whole world is brought to ruination, how many can really claim that I am the One who is indeed well able to pull them up and give to them what they have need of? Those who are living in the attitude of gratitude will be thankful so be alive and to survive in the midst of misery. Those who give Me thanks and praise will have their eyes opened to behold how much I really do help them even when everything is a heap of ruination and devastation. Be glad for the privilege you have even in the worst of times to let the Light I have put within you Shine forth. When there is darkness all about how much brighter will be the Light come Shining through those who are in Right Standing with Me.
When people have turned to the devil’s devices and are ruled by demons, they live in total darkness, and of course they come to the realization that they are helplessly and hopelessly bound. I do not want you to be bound, I want you to be free to rejoice and give praise to Me. For there is no good thing which I will ever withhold from the ones who will walk uprightly and let Me rule over them.
When you see the complete devastation and ruination of possessions, do not mourn over such for it is Me the Living God who can replace all that is lost and bring My people back enabled to rejoice and give the praise, honor, and glory to Me continually. The more that you believe in Me, the more you will receive of Me for I will give to you the True Treasures and in the same you will find lasting value and no one can steal such from you. There is no way that thieves, liars, shysters and crooks can get to the True Treasures you have in Heaven for they are kept in safety by Me. With this in mind, if you find the world as you presently know it collapses you can look to Me to make the Way for you which no one else can. Do not be looking to the government and expecting them to provide, they cannot. Be looking to Me as the One who is indeed well able and when you see how able I am you can give to Me all Honor and Glory. Life is good in Me and the Way I have intended for you partake with rejoicing each day.
