The apostle Paul wrote this in his epistle to Timothy: “But evil men & seducers shall WAX worse & worse, deceiving & being deceived.” – 2 Tim. 3:13, KJV.
If we understand the “signs of the times”, we here in America could believe that statement is meant for the HERE & NOW! And we could also include Paul’s epistle to the Thessalonians:
“… Unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason, God will send them strong DELUSION that they should believe the lie…” -2 Thes. 2:10,11, NKJV.
What we see in these texts are “seducers”, “deceiving”, “deceived”, deception”, “delusion”, & “lie”. Nice Satanic package!
2 Tim. 3:13
Let’s start here, “evil men (humankind) & seducers shall WAX worse & worse…” Maybe you haven’t noticed but both Church & state have grown more & more wicked where DECEIVING & being DECEIVED is at all time high! There is no denying this, especially in the political camp. I don’t have to convince anyone of this FACT. Without getting into the political sewer, where CRAP flows freely, the evidence of what Paul wrote is in plain sight. I know Paul was referring to those dangerous times, i.e., the “last days” (3:1), which some believe started when Christianity came on the scene… and will last till the END. (for background read vss.1-12). Evil men & seducers shall WAX worse, i.e., they will GROW in their deceptions. Paul says in vs.9, “But they shall proceed no farther: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men.” In short, their sins/crimes eventually will be known/seen BUT he did not say they would die out. NO sir! Even though they will be seen for who & what they are, they will WAX worse & worse.
Seduce/Seducing/seducers:
Verbs
(1) Planaō (πλανάω) = to cause to wander, lead astray, is translated “to seduce” in 1 Jn. 2:26 in the A.V. & “lead astray” in the R.V. (see deceit).
(2) Apoplanaō (ἀποπλανάω) is translated “seduce” in Mk. 13:22, A.V.; “lead astray” in the R.V.
Adjective
Planos (πλάνος) = wandering, then, deceiving, is trans. “seducing” in 1 Tim. 4:1. (see “imposters”).
The word seducers, signifies jugglers, pretenders to magical arts; probably persons dealing in false miracles, with whom the Church in all ages has been not a little disgraced!
Take Note of 2 Tim. 3:12
“… all that will live godly in Christ Jesus SHALL suffer persecution” While the righteous are being persecuted, evil men will enjoy ease & prosperity; God, in His mercies will rescue His very own (unless they are meant to be taken captive etc. by the wicked – God knows!); the wicked will not be rescued (unless they repent & be saved!)
There are intentionally wicked men & women & there are unintentionally men & women: the first DECEIVE; the latter DECEIVED. As I write these two factors are at play BIG TIME here in the U.S. The democratic party has both as well as the GOP. But the D.P. is FAR WORSE – their leftist, woke, P.C. progressive /communistic degeneration is a part of the inevitable increase of EVIL in “the last days”. And, to be fair, the Church is just like the politics, full of liars, deceivers, imposters that BLACKEN the reputation of the righteous. These impostors ACT like saints in public but live like devils in private; some are not so subtle, they live like devils all the time. Deceived deceivers! These are the ones that think God is not watching, hence, they have no shame living like devils… while they deceive their congregations.

The KJV uses the word “wax”, the NKJV has “grow”, the NIV has “go” as many other trans. have.
Wax: (Gk., (1) Prokoptō/ προκόπτω), for which see “advance” also.
(2) Ginomai/ προκόπτω), to become, is trans. “waxed” in Lk. 13:19 (A.V.); in the R.V. it has “became”; in Heb. 11:34, A.V. & R.V., “waxed” (note: This verb forms part of the trans. of certain tenses of other verbs; see vold, cold, corrupt, gross, wanton, weary, & wroth).
Wax: (Heb., dôwnag): In the O.T. we find the words wax, waxed, waxen, waxeth, & waxing; in the N.T. we find several Gk. words:
Wax: Mt. 24:12 = “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall WAX cold” (KJV). (Gk., psuchō);
“…WAX not old…” (KJV) (Lk. 12:33) (Gk., palaioō);
“They shall perish; but thou remainest; & they all shall WAX old as doth a garment” (KJV) (Heb. 1:11) (same as Lk. 12:33);
“… When they have begun to WAX wanton against Christ…” (KJV) (1 Tim. 5:11) (Gk., katastrēniaō);
“But evil men & seducers shall WAX worse & worse…” (KJV) (2 Tim. 3:13) (Gk., prokoptō).
WAXED
(N.T. Greek) These are Greek words found: ginomai, found in Lk. 13:19 & Heb. 11:34; pachunō, found in Mt. 13:15 & Acts 28:27; Krataioō, found in Lk. 1:80 & 2:40; parrhēsiazomai, found in Acts 13:46; plouteō, found in Rev. 18:3.
WAXETH
One Gk. word, gēraskō, found in Heb. 8:13;
WAXING
Also one Gk. word, peithō, found in Phil. 1:4.
Some definitions relate to waxing bold in spirit/strong in spirit, waxing gross.
Luke 1:80 speaks of “the child (Jesus) grew, & WAXED strong in spirit” as does 2:40. Acts 13:46 tells us that “Paul & Barnabas WAXED bold.” Hebrew 11:34 says the hero’s of faith “… WAXED valiant in fight…” Rev. 18:3 says “… the merchants of the earth are WAXED rich…” (a negative compared to the positives).
Gross Hearts
“For this people’s heart is WAXED GROSS, & their ears are dull of hearing, & their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they shall see… hear… & understand with their heart, & should be converted, & I should heal them.” -Mt. 13:15, KJV (note: see Zech. 7:11)
This statement disturbs many Christians. Matt. 13:15 was a prophecy of Esaias (Mt. 13:14). Matthew means that as these words were fulfilled in the Jews, in the time of the Prophet Isaiah, so they are now again fulfilled in these their posterity, who exactly copy their father’s example of rebellion & disobedience.
Jesus, Israel’s Messiah/Savior, was sent to them, His miracles they were to see, His doctrines to hear, but their hearts would not understand, hence, no salvation (with exceptions). The LORD/Lord was not going to FORCE “eternal salvation” upon them: they had to choose.
Israel, in Jesus’ day, had a heart problem – their heart is WAXED GROSS! They had a hearing impediment! They had blindness, spiritually speaking!
Heart is waxed gross, (Gk., pachunō/ παχύνω, from pachus, thick, signifies to thicken, fatten; in the passive voice, to grow FAT; metaphorically said of the heart, to WAX GROSS or DULL! How many in Church La La Land have this heart disease? How many are blind & deaf? Too many!!!
Ancient Israel became FAT – inattentive, stupid, insensible. They totally & obstinately resisted God’s truth; & shut their eyes against His light (revelations etc.)… lest they should see & hear about their LOST state. Sounds like the modern Woke/PC/ progressive Church & State. Today’s Church & political dupes are in a DEPLORABLE state… SICK & SLEEZY, yet afraid of being CURED by God’s GOS-PILL!
Isaiah 6:9,10 & Mt. 13:14,15 are nearly the same, almost verbatim from the standard LXX text (Gk. O.T.). Because the people of Israel were in such a state, Jesus used parables (Mt. 13:10-13). Only the lowly & the few wise understood Jesus’ Call-to-ALL (e.g. Jn. 3:16). Man’s SINS are purges/forgiven only by a divine sorrow via repentance.
Blessed are your Eyes/Ears
Jesus says to some, “Blessed are your eyes, for they see: & your ears, for they hear” (vs.16). If Jesus was to appear in person in today’s Church setting, He would see America (et al.) as He saw Ancient Israel, a moral-less topsy-turvydom! He would see a Christless Christianity!
Let us who love the Lord & His work/Word strive to put Christ back into Christianity!
WOS – Waxed More & More Sinful
I speak unto you this day and I say be thankful that you have been given the privilege to know Me as your God and you are not found bowing to dumb idols and calling such your masters and teachers. If you stop and consider how many people there are in this world who are bound to demons it is indeed frightening and is definitely not of Me.
When sin entered in because of Eve listening to the liar, then telling her husband Adam to partake of the forbidden as she had, then deception came. Then, they were estranged from Me and ruled by liar and his lying demons. By choosing in opposition to the Truth, they were the ones who by their sins separated themselves from the Truth by their choices and consequently they were banished from the Garden of Eden.
So they were to labor for their food, and had to provide for themselves their own means of shelter and sustenance because they needed food, shelter and clothes. They were no longer naked and not ashamed, but they became aware of their need to cover themselves not only because of shame but because the weather conditions, were no longer perfect as they had been in Eden.
All of the good things they experienced in the Garden of Eden were no longer theirs to enjoy and they found life aside from My Way became a chore, hard labor, and much effort. They likewise saw their offspring become cursed as they were cursed and they were continually reminded that they are the ones who caused such to befall their children.
Inasmuch as they were My Created Beings, I still made a way for them but it was not the Way of Mercy they had known in the beginning, it became the way of misery because of their choices against the Truth. By their choices human kind became more and more sinful as time progressed and by the time My prophet Noah lived I was totally disgusted with the vile and filthy sins of humanity. So, I had Noah to build an Ark and to warn them of My impending judgments which would come upon them as I was bringing the Great Flood to destroy them if they did not repent.
However, they did not choose to believe My Prophet, instead they mocked and scorned him and inasmuch as they had not experienced My wrathful rain, they believed him to be insane. So they waxed more and more bold in their sinfulness and vile behaviors. I became saddened by their refusal to listen and to mock the man I had chosen to build the Ark and to give them warning. Yet, I determined to destroy them all. The time came and the Ark was shut and the rains poured forth upon them and they were drowned in the waters of My wrath which came down more and more. Even if they cried for help, they could not get in the Ark for they had missed the time of their visitation of My Mercy and became the subjects of My wrath. Had they paid heed to Noah they could have been on board and kept in safety.
So as it was time progressed and a New Breed of people were to come forth, however they grew rebellious of Me and built themselves the Tower of Babel and looked at the same as their Refuge rather than Me. Then, again they showed rebellion against My Way. I in turn scattered them throughout the earth and mixed their languages so they could no longer communicate with each other and were put in confusion. They became estranged from each other and from Me by their own choices.
On and on through out the history of humanity, there have been and still are constant troubles, turmoils, terrors and wars among peoples, tribes, and nations. Bloodshed has run rampant and violence has ruled. All of the time, I looked for and longed for a people who would know Me and likewise Love Me because I wanted them to be Mine. My desire was for them to adhere to My instructions and directions and come in close to Me as I intended for Adam and Eve in the beginning.
Even after I sent My Only Begotten Son, Jesus to give His Life as the ransom for the sins of humanity, people have rebelled and established “rote religion” rather than relationship with Me. However My desire has not disappeared and in this hour, My eyes are roaming throughout the earth for the ones who will respond and come into My Divine Love Family. I am longing for those who will want to Know Me and therefore be joined with Me as My Son Jesus was and is. I want them to be My Sons and Daughters who will walk in His Steps and conformed to His Image. Therefore rejoice and be glad that you can be in the company of the Redeemed who are laboring for Me out of Love for My Will and declaring the Return to Righteousness Revolution to any and all who will listen. I reach out to those who are sinners and those who are bound in religion because I want all to come into Me and partake of My presence. I want people to know the benefits and the blessings that come of Knowing Me and being in My Divine Love Family. This is My Time, My Call to All, and My showing forth of Light, Life, and Love to the multitudes who are needy of believing and receiving all which is prepared for them. If they be in the country or the city, call to them, call for the wretched and the poor, call the rich and famous, for I want all to hear, obey, love, and know Me as I AM.
