By: Gen. Jim – 11/5/25

“As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the CURSE causeless shall not come.” – Prov. 26:2, KJV
The NKJV reads “So a curse without cause shall not alight.” The NIV has “an undeserved curse does not come to rest.” In Deut. 23:5 we read “the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam but turned the CURSE into a BLESSING for you.” Num. 24:10 reads “Then Balak’s anger burned against Balaam. He struck his hands together & said to him, ‘I summoned you to CURSE my enemies, but you have BLESSED them these three times.” Joshua 24:9 & 10 reads: “when Balak son of Zippor, the King of Moab, prepared to fight against Israel, he sent for Balaam son of Beor to put a CURSE on you. But I would not listen to Balaam, so he BLESSED you again & again, and I delivered you out of his hand.” [read also Num. 22:2; 23:7; 22:6].
All these texts deal with CURSES. The Hebrew word used is qâlal/qelâlâh = vilification, cursing, despise, afflict etc. This is no small matter. The Bible has hundreds of Scriptures on curse, cursed, cursedst, curses, cursest, curseth, cursing, & cursings. The first mention of “curse” is found in Gen. 8:21; the first mention of “curse” in the N.T. is found in Mt. 5:44. There are just too many Heb./Gk. texts to list; there are different interpretations/meanings.
Heb./Curse
Some Bible (and non-Biblical) scholars have contended that in ancient Israel “curse” (“C”) – ‘ālâ /qâlal /qelâlah /qâbab /nâqab /cherom /tu’alâh /shebûw’âh et al. – was conceived of as a kind of demonic force that could invade (alight) the land or take over a person’s being. According to Scripture, this is true! Deut. 28 needs to be read & studied (I’ve taught on this chapter, starting way back in the early 1980s). Dt. 28:1-13 deals with Blessings; vss.14-68 deals with curses. You will find the words curses, cursed, cursing in these texts (14-20 especially).
Deut. 27:
Go back to chapter 27, start in vs.15, read to vs.26, you’ll find the word “cursed” mentioned 11 times! Here the Heb. word is ‘ârar, a prim. root, “to execrate”, i.e. “call down EVIL upon” etc. In short it means to bitterly curse!
Boomerang Curse
When I started teaching on Boomerang Curses all HELL broke out!!! The “Christian” churches in Sacramento, CA (where we had established Fort Freedom / ACMTC) accused us of false teachings, hateful teachings. Why so! Because we believed we had the right to send “curses” back to the sender/senders. And trust me, we had plenty of CURSES sent our way; the Church itself basically was cursing us over our anti-devil teachings. They claimed we were too harsh, too unloving, too, well, too Scriptural! And, since we were teaching against the whole LGBTQ plus Movement, against abortion, against the occult & “puke-warmness” of the Church, curses came in like rockets. We were on the biggest “Christian” radio in those days (KFIA), who were perturbed also at our “militant” yet, Scriptural teachings. Eventually we were PUT OFF radio – they lovingly broke our contract! Yep! Nice Christian radio – could not take real Biblical Teachings.
My point in Boomerang Curses was that we do not have to let curses alight upon us personally or on our ministry. We record a lot of this in our early 1980s Battle Cry (later BC Sounding) publications. At the same time, we were teaching on curses/hexes/vexes; we were teaching on casting out of demons & practicing it at Ft. Freedom. This brought even more hostility from both Church and state.
Go thru the Bible; read up on all those “C” words. The world of Satan/demons are very real. The Bible speaks of “to swear”, “to curse”, & ‘allu’, “oath”, “curse”. In the O.T. the root is attested as a verb in Judg. 17:2 where the KJV uses the word “cursedst” (Heb. ‘âlâh = “to adjure, i.e. (usually in a bad sense) imprecate, curse, swear”; Hos. 4:2 uses the word “swearing” (KJV), (same Heb. word; Hos. 10:4 uses the word “swearing” falsely – same Heb. word. 1 Sam. 14:24 (KJV) we find the word “cursed”, a different Heb. word – ‘ârar – other than ‘âlâh; 1 Kgs. 8:31 uses the word “swear” (KJV) & also “oath”, Heb. ‘âlâh; same Heb. word as “swear”. 2 Chron. 6:22 also has “swear”/ “oath” together. The above are verbs.
Nouns
The noun ‘ālâ occurs 36 times. In addition, the noun ta’alâ (see Lam. 3:65) is probably to be derived from this root. Language scholars say, despite the occasional personification of CURSES both in Israel & elsewhere in the ancient Near East, CURSES were thought to derive their effectiveness not so much from any inherent DEMONIC force of MAGICAL power as from the agency of the cooperating deity invoked in such illocutionary or performative utterances. I’ll let the experts fight this out.
Pt. 2
A curse, the opposite of a blessing, is the pronouncement of EVIL on someone or something. This is the common belief. In the Hebrew Bible (O.T.) nouns/verbs associated with the Hebrew roots ‘lh, ‘rr, & qll are all translated by the English word “curse”. It is believed that while the meanings of these 3 roots are related & can be interchangeable, a separate treatment of each will highlight the full range of meanings of the word “curse”.
There are no certain attestations of ‘ālâ ‘curse’ in ancient Near Eastern literature outside the Heb. Bible. Prof. B.F. Batto & other Bible scholars who have written good source books on curses et al. tell us that in the 8th cent. BCE Phoenician inscription form Arslan Tush the word ‘lt – which occurs 4 or 5 times, depending upon one’s interpretation – has been read as ‘goddess’, ‘bond’, or ‘curse’. (see J. Teixidor, Lestablettes d’ Arslan Tash au Muse’ed’ Alep, Aulorl (1983, pp. 105-108). Once one gets ahold of one of these “curse” books, there you’ll find other authors & their findings. Some argue over certain Heb. words, what they mean.
Hebrew ‘ālâ is often correctly compared to Akkadian māmītu, the semantic range of which extends from ‘oath’ (i.e. sworn by the king & the gods) & ‘sworn agreement’ to ‘curse’ (consequences of a broken oath attacking a person who took it, also as demonic power) (see The Assyrian Dict. of the Oriental Inst. of the Univ. of Chicago).
Batto says that both ‘ālâ & māmita have as their primary meaning ‘oath’, as in treaties & in promises of fidelity. He says both can refer to disasters & maladies… inflicted by divine or demonic beings. Accordingly, in Akkadian lit. the disasters/maladies associated with māmīta were themselves on occasion demonized or deified (The Assyrian Dict., ibid).
Isa. 45:7
This Scripture confuses many: “I form the light, & create darkness: I make peace, & create EVIL: I the LORD do all these things.” (see also Amos 3:6 – KJV).
I’ve taught/wrote on Isa. 45:7 many times. Don’t be fooled by the word “EVIL”. The Heb. word is râ’a’, a prim. root meaning to “spoil (by breaking in pieces) (fig.) to make good for nothing, do harm, hurt, punish, vex, bruise etc.” This word does not mean “moral evil” but “physical evil”. In short, God punishes! God brings maladies upon people for whatever reason. He brings natural disasters as well.
Targums
A Jewish Targum is an interpretation or paraphrase of parts of the Jewish Scriptures, written in the Vernacular (Aramaic) of Juda. In the Targums ‘ālâ, like sebû’â (another word for “oath”), is normally trans. by Aram mōmātā, a cognate to Akk māmītu. In cases, language scholars remark where ‘ālâ & sebû’â occur together ‘ālâ is trans. by Aram līta or lewātā (“curse”).
Judges 17:2 & Prov. 29:24 speak of curses (KJV) – pronouncing a CURSE on a potential thief will protect property. A curse pronounced on an accused person will, if it takes effect, establish the person’s guilt (see Num. 5:21-28; 1 Kgs. 8;31; 2 Chron. 6:22 etc.). Pronouncing a CURSE on anyone who may disobey enforces a command by persons of authority (1 Sam. 14:24; Gen. 24:41). Also, pronouncing a CURSE on anyone who may break a treaty guarantees loyalty to a treaty (Gen. 26:28). We remind ourselves that in this last sense that CURSE is used in connection with Israel’s covenant with the LORD, which has similarities to a treaty (see Dt. 29:18). I believe this holds true to New Israel (the Church) as well. The CURSE causeless shall not come! Curses are understood as conditional; that is, efficacious only if some legal right or agreement has been violated. Some, I believe MANY, in Christianity today believe they can live like HELL & still go to Heaven. God’s wrath/punishment is still in the N.T., not just the O.T. (I’ll deal with N.T. curses later).
Pt. 3
A Person as a CURSE
What? Yes, the Bible says it: “Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of CURSING, & the priest shall say unto the woman, ‘The LORD make thee a CURSE & an oath among thy people…” Num. 5:21, KJV. One translation reads, “the LORD make you an execration & an oath.” In short, “let thy name & punishment be remembered & mentioned as an example & terror to all others.” (the issue here is adultery).
Jeremiah 29:22,23 (KJV) says, “And of them shall be taken up a CURSE by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon…” (these verses also deal with adultery). Jer. 29:17,18 speaks of “ra”/ “evil” that the LORD will send: sword, famine, pestilence – Israel was “to be a CURSE, & an astonishment, & an hissing, & a reproach…” vs.18.
Do you think God will CURSE America – the Church, the people for all their adulteries? He has blessed this nation but a CURSE is forthcoming if we do not REPENT of our fornications, our adulteries, et. al sex-sins.
Israel at times became so calamitous, i.e. causing or bringing calamity (one meaning of “ra” in Isa. 45:7), that they embodied the consequence of a CURSE. I believe America is just like ancient Israel/JerUSAlem.
The root ‘rr occurs most frequently in formulas that begin “cursed be… (see Dt. 27:15-25; 28:16-19, which we’ve already examined). (see also Gen. 4:11 & 1 Sam. 14:24,28). This formula functions as a way of maintaining stability within the community. Pronouncing a CURSE on one (or ones) who has acted in ways that violate accepted social/religious responsibility is a way of EXPELLING (casting out!) that person from the community. (see also Jer. 11:3; Dt. 27:15-25 etc.).
The root qll occurs in less tech. situation; a CURSE can be made by private individuals against God (see Lev. 24:15; 1 Sam. 3:13 etc.) or the king (2 Sam. 16:9).
N.T.
Mark 14:71 tells us that even the apostle Peter “began to CURSE & to SWEAR…” (Curse: anathematizō, to declare or vow under penalty of execration, bind with an oath: anathema, excommunicate) (Swear: omnuō, take (or declare on) oath).
Luke 6:28: Here Jesus gives us sound advice, hard-to-handle advice we all agree: “Bless them that CURSE you, & pray for them which despitefully use you.” Bless? This goes entirely against our humanness. Yep! Sure does!
James 3:9: “Therefore bless we God, even the Father; & therewith CURSE we men, which are made after the similitude of God.”
Curse: Greek, kataraomai, to execrate, to doom, from katara, imprecation.
James goes on to write: “Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing & CURSING…” The lesson here? Control the tongue!, which “is a little member, & boasteth great things… a fire, a world of iniquity… setteth on fire the course of nature; & it is set on fire of HELL!!!”, vss.5,6. We worry so much about “can a Christian have a demon” (demonized, not possessed!), yet we think very little of this small thing called “tongue of fire”, dwelling alongside the Holy Spirit! James says that within the believers there are both blessings & cursings, sweet water & bitter (vs.11), salt water & fresh (vs.12). So, it is possible for evil & good to dwell in the believer (see my teachings “Can a Christian have a demon?” at AggressiveChristianity.net, top of pg.1, righthand side (yellow: Demon Warfare/Deliverance).
Did you know?
Christ Himself became a CURSE so as to redeem those under the CURSE! Paul writes to the Galations this: “Christ hath redeemed us from the CURSE of the law, being made a CURSE [Gk. katara = execration] for us: that it is written, ‘cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.’” – Gal. 3:13. The Gk. word for “cursed” is epikataratos =, imprecated i.e. execrable.
Paul explains in 3:10, “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the CURSE (katara): for it is written, ‘CURSED (epikataratos) is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them” (see Dt. 27:26 & 21:23)
Depart!
Jesus, in His telling of parables gave out much TRUTH to His disciples. In Mt. 25:41 He makes this astounding statement: “Then He (Father) will say to those on the left hand, ‘DEPART from ME, you CURSED (kataraomai), into the everlasting fire (pur/fiery = not hades or tartaroō, but gehenna = lake of fire!) prepared for the devil & his angels.” (see also Mt. 7:19,23; Mt. 13:40-42; 2 Pet. 2:4 et al.) (see also “Anathema”).
Pt. 4
It is plain by Scripture that the CURSED/ACCURSED will not be in eternal bliss, but in eternal torment. Jesus also made this macabre statement: “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul & body in hell,” Mt. 10:28. “Hell” here is “gehenna”, the “lake of fire”. The word “destroy” (Gk. apollumi) means to ruin, mar (lit. or fig.); it does not mean to annihilate – the soul will not DIE but will remain ALIVE eternally in Heaven or Hell. Many believe that Hell-Fire is only for a short duration .But the same words “everlasting” / “eternal” used for Heaven are used for Hell – never-ending! In gehenna the soul will be separated from all mercies & goodness, but cessation is incorrect. If one is eternally CURSED, one will remain so after physical death. Jesus did not mean “destroy” in the context of cessation, but in the context of separation/ruin etc.
The Soul
The conception of CURSE is intimately linked with the understanding of the soul in Israelite psychology. Man or humankind, in his/her total essence, is a “soul”. In other words, were one to substitute “person” for “soul”, one would have a better accurate understanding of what the Israelites/Jewish community meant by soul. The soul is a coherent WHOLE characterized by volition realized in action. That is, human persons are by nature oriented toward accomplishment of what they conceive in thought. Words effect what they symbolize. CURSES – like their opposites, blessings – operate by a power inherent in the words themselves & so take on a life of their own once uttered.
So…
Curse is the opposite of Bless. CURSE, like its counterpart, SIN, causes dissolution of the soul, disminishment of vitality. But unlike sin, the “C” can be put into the soul from without. Like the blessing, the “C” can be put into the soul by someone else uttering the “C”. Why did God forbid His people not to practice or have it practiced upon them? (see Dt. 18:1-14 where witchcraft, soothsaying, interpreting omens, working sorcery, conjuring spells, don’t associate with a medium, a spiritist, one who calls up the dead – these, says God, are “an abomination to the LORD” (vs.12; see also Lev. 18 for prohibition against sex-sins, esp. homosexuality – it had a death penalty upon it, Lev. 20:13!)
Best Understood
Like any subject one studies, there are always, pros & cons. The “experts” do not always agree. Some scholars believe “blessing” & “CURSE” are best understood as illocutionary, that is an utterance which relates to the speaker’s intention as distinct from what is actually said or the effect on an auditor, or performative utterances. That is to say, the congruence between word & thing derives from the fact that they are uttered by an acceptable person at an acceptable time & in an acceptable manner.
CURSE (‘ālâ) in the O.T. was operative in basic contexts, as Pro. Batto writes: “As part of an oath, such as in the making of covenants or contracts. In this usage the “C” is essentially an imprecation, that is, curses attached to covenant-making functioned as sanctions invoked upon oneself for breach of contract.”
In shorts, just as blessings motivated covenant fidelity thru promise of a full life & prosperity, so CURSES militated against covenant infidelity thru threat of loss of life & diminishment of community or wealth.
So, the basic connection between ‘ālâ & covenant is evident in Dt. 29:9-20. A covenant context for ‘ālâ is also explicit or implicit in Scriptures like Dt. 30:7; Isa. 24:4-6; Jer. 23:10; Ex. 16:59; 17:11-19; 2 Chron. 34:24; Neh. 10:30; Dan. 9:11 et al.
Because of the close connect between “C” & covenant, ‘ālâ can by metonymy (a figure of speech in which the name of one thing is used in place of that of another associated with or suggested by it), specifically by synecdoche (figure of speech in which a part is used for a whole), stand for the covenant itself (see Dt. 29:18,19).
As adjurations, writes one scholar, against another person: 1) for the purpose of motivating witnesses/malefactors to come forward (see Lev. 5:1); 2) for the purpose of evoking a desired action or precluding an undesired action (e.g. Gen. 24:41; Josh. 6:22; 1 Sam. 14:24,28); 3) as a conditional imprecation (or prayer) addressed to the deity to punish a malefactor whose guilt can’t be proved (e.g. Judg. 17:2; Num. 5:11-31; 1 Kgs. 8:31-32; 2 Chron. 6:22,23). It was a breach of the moral code to evoke the deity under a false pretense (e.g. Job 31:29,30; Hos. 4:1,2; Ps. 59:13).
Pt. 5
It is said that in no scripture does the “C” operate independently of the agency of the deity, even in passages which have the most semblance of magic, e.g. Num. 5:11-31. Here the placing of the trial in the sanctuary (vv.15,16,18,30) & the explicit invocation of the deity to effect the “C” (vss.21,25) make it clear that the words/actions of the ritual have at most a sacramental quality; that is, they are merely material forms thru which divine action is manifested. (read also Judg. 17:2).
Always Conditional?
Some scholars believe with my starting text in Prov. 26:2 – “a CURSE without cause not alight.” CURSES uttered without cause have no power. As seen, in the ancient world CURSES & blessings were thought to have inherent power &, when spoken, to speed to their destination with certainty & force. Prov. 26:2 breaks down the ancient view in so far as it says that unjustified curses will not find their mark. A curse sent upon a faithful believer will not alight. But consider an unfaithful believer, will it take effect? The NIV says, “an undeserved curse does not come to rest” (Heb. qelālāh) The New Oxford Annotated Bible reads: “an undeserved curse goes nowhere.” The Amplified Bible reads: “So the curse without cause does not come & alight on the undeserving.” Num. 23:8 (Amp.) says, “How shall I curse those whom God has not cursed?” Does God curse people? Yes! Haven’t you read Judges 5:23 where one of God’s angels CURSED Meroz?: “CURSE Meroz,’ said the angel of the LORD, ‘CURSE its inhabitants bitterly, because they did not come to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.’” Meroz was severely blamed for its INACTION! Following this God praised Jael for killing pagan king Sisera (Judg. 5:26,27). (note: Meroz is unknown; some read Meron here with Josh. 12:20). Do you think the Lord is pleased with all the Christians that are INACTIVE in missions work? Think about Mt. 28:19 et al.

Fin
What are we to say about Ex. 22:18?: “You shall not permit a sorceress to live.” NKJV. The KJV has “witch” 1 Sam. 28:3-10 speaks of mediums & spiritists (NKJV, the KJV has “those that had familiar spirits” & “wizards”. We know this story as the “Witch of Endor (vs.7). Saul had put a death-sentence upon all those of the occult, citing Ex. 22:18.
“Witch”, Heb. kâshaph = to whisper a spell, curse, to enchant or practice magic, witchcraft. That was the way the LORD felt towards those in the occult. Do you think He has changed His mind today? (You might want to read my article “Canaanite Hyperbole” under Article Library at “Righteousness Revolution” site. Under CH you’ll find CH – “parts 1-6”, Utterly Destroy!”, “Divine Mercy; Divine Genocide, parts 1-4”, & “All The Abominable Practices.”) All these deal with the occult. These articles explain WHY God had certain persons/nations DESTROYED! Yep! Destroyed!
Q. Is it rational to believe God commanded the killing of Innocents? The Bible does not present God as commanding genocide without a cause. His crucial moral principle is not absolute, but He did allow killing when needed. God did not nor does not kill innocents, only the guilty [e.g., Dt. 20:16-18 = the reason for “utterly destroying the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, & the Jebusites is explained in vs.18: “lest they teach you (Israelites) to DO according to all their ABOMINATIONS” (i.e. detestable things). Deut. 7:2 says, “… you (Israel) shall conquer them (those pagan nations) & UTTERLY DESTROY them…” Num. 31:17 says, “NOW therefore, KILL! every male among the little ones, & KILL! every woman who has known a man intimately.” What? KILL! Children?
This is called the “order to EXTERMINATE Midian (31:13-18) – this was called “Holy War”.
Utterly Destroy!
This is repulsive to our carnal mind. But to God it was a necessity, for the “Ites” in the land were basically devil worshippers, those left to live would eventually CURSE Israel.
I’ll finish up with 1 Sam. 15. Read this chapter slowly: Verses 3,8,9,15,18,20, & 21 all use the words “utterly destroy” or “utterly destroyed”. Think about how God felt about idol worshippers, murderers of innocents, those who practice the occult etc. God’s reason?, to preserve Israel from lethal spiritual infection by the polytheism of the Canaanites. When monotheism had become more deeply rooted in Israel, such an EXTREME measure was not, according to the O.T., required again. The extermination program was a defensive measure necessary to preserve the identity of God’s covenant people. Would today’s people see the eradication of a lethal disease as wrong? How the LORD viewed those pagan nations was as a DISEASE! But isn’t God/Jesus loving? Yes! This is WHY The do what they do in order to protect Their own. We as humans just don’t see things the way They see things. While the N.T. speaks of love & tolerance (for a time), the time is coming when, as Jesus says in Mt. 7:19, “Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down & thrown into the fire.” “That’s not very loving, Jesus!” Oh, this is not all: “the sons of the kingdom will be CAST OUT into OUTER DARKNESS. There will be weeping & gnashing of teeth,” Mt. 8:12. Jesus also says, “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth… but a SWORD!” Mt. 10:34.
Better realize that the Divine has 2 sides – mercy/wrath.
WOS – CRUCIFY FLESH AND DETOXIFY
I speak unto you this day and I say as you are steadily desiring to be clean before Me, so must you be willing to crucify your flesh so as to detoxify yourselves from the things which poison you spiritually and naturally. Often times My people are too easily influenced by the world and all of the darkness contained therein. Consequently they take in attitudes, enticements, enchantments, all of which are poisonous to their spiritual lives and likewise their natural lives.
When those who are meant to be dedicated to Me will consecrate themselves to Me they will find their flesh does not want to die. Yet, they must crucify the flesh in order to detoxify themselves from the very things which will definitely hinder their lives in Me. I do not want My people to be hindered, I want them to move forward knowing of a surety that there is no other Way than the Way which I have provided for them to walk in.
Those who oppose the natural laws of their bodies are literally causing themselves many senseless sufferings because they are yielding to the lust of their flesh rather than Righteous guidelines. Keep in mind that throughout the earth, there are multitudes who have chosen in opposition to Me and have brought down curses upon themselves and their generations, causing them many sorrows and troubles.
In fact some peoples, tribes, and nations are so cursed by generational curses, they are literally the slaves of demons of darkness. They are covered by witchcraft, sorcery, obscene lust, violence, murder, endless superstitions and dumb idolatry. These curses cause them to be constantly at war both inwardly and outwardly. Such peoples know the sufferings of superstition and undergo such things as starvation, loss of homes and properties, murder of siblings and other relatives, and ignorance. I do not call them there, yet by the curses they have lived under for many generations they are bound in pagan darkness.
Of course the demons who control them do not want them to ever hear the Truth regarding the Power in the Name of Jesus, and His Blood. The demons already know the Power, they do not want their victims to know and believe because then they will no longer be slaves to the demons of darkness and death. Many when given the True Gospel Message will want to come out of their pagan ways and come into the Way which Jesus provides and see their children raised up to believe in Him likewise. By such Salvation in the Name of Jesus, the demons are left without flesh in as much as they have used the pagans as their hosts as they have sucked their very lives into destruction.
I do not want My people to return to the ways of the ignorant demon possessed heathen and when My people start flirting with pagan ways, they have stopped crucifying their flesh and will be intoxicated by the lust. The more that any people yield to lust, the more wanton, wild, unruly, and ungodly they become. Likewise they become lawless, careless, and driven by the very demons which possess the most insane of pagan tribes.
As those who are using My Son’s Name, do not be guilty of the spiritual adultery which comes as the consequence of idolatry. Rather, resist, refute, and refuse to go in such ways by continuing to crucify your flesh. Recall the words of Apostle Paul, he stated the importance of being temperate in all things. Of course, Jesus taught His disciples to “crucify their flesh, take up the Cross and follow Him.” Jesus did not starve, nor did he not have clothing but He did not yield to the carnal lusts in any way whatsoever. Which is why He is the perfect example for all true disciples to follow in His Steps.
Each day, pray for the Mind of My Spirit to be over you so as you can be temperate in all things and not be consumed by intoxication which so many fall prey to and end up under the control of demons. The Spirit will not guide you into the up and down syndromes of surfeiting, drunkenness, drug runs and all other manner of intoxicating the body and the mind.
True Believers are to make it their practice to say “NO” to the very lusts which want to consume them and drive them far from Me. I do not want you to be taken in such practices and consumed. I want you to be uplifted and given My Strength and My light upon your path. Do not be ashamed to refuse what others are doing for you are not meant to please people, you are meant to please Me.
The closer you are to Me, the more you will see the Wisdom in the Words of Jesus given for all who want to be True and Faithful Followers and those who come forth well pleasing rather than worthless. My people are not meant to be overwhelmed by the lusts of their flesh, they are meant to come forth knowing the Power in the Blood, and in the Name of Jesus. It is possible to use His Blood against your old nature and see the same subdued and brought into subjectivity.
Do not spend all your time looking for ways to “please self” look for ways to crucify as My Spirit shows you what needs to be put down in your old self so the New Life has the preeminence. Be thankful this day for the Way which will keep you detoxified and enabled to hear, obey, and stay in Me.
