Homelessness is a real BIG problem in real time! Every state has their homeless state of affairs to deal with. Both pity & disgust – a dichotomy – are at the forefront of this problem. Both the public & the State/national officials are at wits end of what to do. How is homelessness dealt with? Tear down their camps, run them off the streets, lock them up? Or give them pity, food, clothing, $$ etc?… letting these souls go on in their squalid living conditions?
The fact is, some choose to live this way; others are there by circumstance. So, we can’t lump them all into the “lazy bums” camp. Some literally choose to be filthy, foul, addicted, wretched, miserable, sordid. We’ve worked with some of these souls. Some were redeemable; others were not. Some thanked us; others cursed us! Some even joined our ranks, did well for a season, but eventually slipped back into their old habits.
This brings me to today’s lessons-in-life: John S. of Sacramento, CA in the mid 1980s.
John came from a well-to-do Christian family. His father was a denominational minister. His mother a sweet woman who cried many tears over her son, John. He had forsaken God, the Church, & his family for a new way of life – homosexuality. He was known around the Capitol City by both the homo community & the Church community. He was good-looking, young, smart, and articulate.
My first meeting with John was at a nearby restaurant where we had coffee & chatted. He had been listening to me on KFIA raido – Sacto’s Christian radio back then. We had a weekly (later, daily) program called Battle Cry (after our BC publication – which was introduced to the U.S. in 1983, June). John had heard me preaching & teaching on Demon Warfare & Homosexuality, etc. He eventually contacted us by phone, later dropping by our city H.Q. on X Street (where we were building an Army of God to “Take Jesus To All The World”. We worked in deliverance – casting out demons (see our articles on AggressiveChristianity.net) – breaking curses etc. Doing this raised great concern among both Church & State. ALL HELL broke loose! We had people (of all ages, colors, sexes, classes) coming from all over the state to get help/relief. We saw God do mighty miracles. We saw homosexuals (male/female) set free & addicts set free, physical/mental healings. X Street eventually became the center of the city’s hatred for us.
You might want to know what actually started this California wildfire against us – ACMTC. John’s testimony of his deliverance over radio (we still have his recorded testimony). Before this we had mostly the backslidden and lukewarm churches contending with us over the “rapture”, “fasting”, “prophetic Words” et al. But when John came on BC this was just too much for the “good people” of Sacramento. Yep! These “good people” set about to SILENCE us on X Street. Mobs assaulted us (read our PX2 Files & read our early 1980s BC pubs etc.).
John had submitted to receive deliverance from his homo demons. Yes! Demons! We worked several weeks with him… little-by-little we were able to dispel demons that had control over him. I mean some were really gross. On our final break through, we commanded a “ruler” demon out. It fought! over several hours of work (myself & Deborah) we tried everything we knew to get this demon out. Finally, a glob of black, stinking foam came out, screeching. If you don’t believe such things exist, just try this for yourself. But, be warned, some demons are very violent (some of our sessions at X Street saw blood at times.) Some of our workers were wounded. I can’t begin to explain all this. We do have one 16-minute film showing demons coming out of a female. This film has been shown on docs. that were made to denounce us & our work. They are still up on the internet.
Ok. John finally got set free!!! This was phase one. Phase two is what kicked off a city-wide (eventually, state-wide) crusade against us: John named names! By this, I mean, he let the public know who was of the LGBTQ movement within the capitol. This spread fast. The rest is history. From that day till I write this article, ACMTC has been the target of the devil himself to DESTROY us! (see our PX2 & PX3 Files).
Ok. That is the background of today’s message: Homeless Demon. “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he (the demon) walketh through dry places, seeking rest, & findeth none. Then he saith, ‘I will return into my house from whence I came out; & when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, & garnished” – Mt. 12:43,44.
The NKJV has, “he finds it empty, swept, & put in order.”
[Note: we’ve been wrongly accused of saying that a Christian can be demon possessed. We’ve never taught this. What we teach is that a believer can be demonized – be exercised by a demon: not possessed. The Bible teaches us much about demons & exorcism. Some believe this was only for the early Church. HA! Why do “Christians” do evil/demonic things if all have passed into history? The Church HAS demon problems!!!
I’ve taught dozens & dozens of messages on Demon Warfare. So, here, I’ll be short.
Jesus was our example: He cast out demons. Mark 16:17 tells us “… In My (Jesus) name they will cast out demons.” Jesus’ disciples cast out demons (Lk. 10:17). Besides the 66 books in the Bible (O.T./N.T.), we have the Apocrypha: Tobit 8:1-3 relates to us about an evil spirit… and an angel binding it.
Matthew 12:43,44,45 was spoken by Jesus. He was showing us, teaching us how evil spirits operate. Evil spirits inhabit people (as other things, like animal etc.) Human bodies are their home; one or a legion (Mk. 5:9,15).
When a demon (or demons) is cast out, they, according to Jesus, become homeless, hence, restless – looking for a place to live.
As for John S., he walked with God for a while. He joined our corps & became a star witness. He was good at what he did. Many in Sacto. CA knew him before – as a flaming “f”, a champion for the Homo Movement (HM). His testimony over BC changed things in that wicked city. Those in the HM became angry – both in private & public. Of course, we (ACMTC) were to blame.
His mom was so happy. She supported us fully. She was well known and very respected. We really felt bad & sad when John went A.W.O.L.
The last time I saw him was with several male/female LGBTQ people. He looked terrible. He appeared to be on drugs & had lost weight & was unkempt.
What a “divine deliverance” John had received. No doubt he is dead today. Never heard from him again. The persecution against us only grew from BAD to WORSE… eventually driving us out of CA. I believe, as Jesus taught in Mt. 12:45: “Then goeth he (demon), & taketh with himself 7 other spirits more wicked than himself, & they enter in & dwell there: & the last state of that man is WORSE than the first.”
Empty – Filled
The lesson Jesus was teaching was that when a demon is “cast out”, the house becomes empty & clean of demon presence. But if left empty, it is open for demon presence to return; it must be filled with the Holy Spirit. Hell’s spirit vs. Holy Spirit = demon warfare. I need to add: besides John’s testimony about his deliverance, our teaching (and practicing) on fasting brought hostility. One cannot teach on casting out of demons without also mentioning fasting. We, as a whole, received our share of negativity when we fasted & prayed much in our early days of establishing Fort Freedom /ACMTC.
After Jesus made His statements on demons homelessness (Mt. 12:43-45), Matthew 17:14-21 relates to us about a lunatic… “Jesus rebuked the devil; & he departed out of him…” Mt. 17:19. All this “mental illness” the world discusses (in relation to the homeless etc.) is demon-centered. I’ve said it for years. Pills wont drive out devils! the power of God will. We worked in a large Christian “Help the poor & needy organization” whereby they did not believe in nor exercise in deliverance: they relied on drugs & human therapy. You can’t counsel out devils!
But back to Mt. 17: “Howbeit this kind (crazy /lunatic /mental) goeth not out but by prayer & fasting,” vs.21. This is why we all fasted alot when we were open for deliverance. We did lots of both.
The word “lunatic” (as used in some versions) is not correct: the correct word is “epileptic” (KJV et al.) One of our early recruits (female) was an epileptic when she joined ACMTC. She was 17 at that time. We cast out the epilepsy demon & she never had another fit. She eventually became a captain.
We can call these “devils” by many different names – no matter – they are still devils! If more health/psych workers would learn/demonstrate demon warfare, instead of being “pill-pushers”, the world would be a better place to live. Drugs may subdue demon activity but they will not expel demons.
Jesus’ teachings (many) on demon warfare is cardinal & should be taken seriously. Church people need deliverance, not entertainment. They need more faith, not fun in the Son. Praying, not paying nor playing will get things done in the spirit world. Prayer is the food of faith, & that the discipline of fasting – rightly done – gives vigor to the soul. And, may I add, it is also good for the body – over-eating taxes the body: fasting gives the body a rest. If there had been no reality in demon-possessions, Jesus would have scarcely appealed to this case in Mt. 12. Jesus says when the spirit (evil) went out of the man, “he walketh through dry places,” vs.43. There seems to be a reference here to the Orphic demonology, in which evil spirits were divided into various classes (as some scholars point out), according to the different regions of their abode, or places in which they delighted.
5 classes: 1) Celestial demons; 2) Aerial; 3) Aquatic; 4) Terrestrial; 5) Subterranean demons. (see Orphic Demonology. ad. mus. ap. Schott.). The Platonists, the followers of Zoroaster, & the primitive Jews, made nearly the same distinctions.
The “homeless demons”, when kicked out of their abodes, “seek rest”, or “refreshment” as some claim. Take note: isn’t it ironic that demons of hostility, murder, etc. find rest in this kind of person. Look at the sheer hostility in America right now – under Trump’s policies (which I believe in). The MOBS are violent & murderous. Tell me that these are not demons in human bodies!! Demons literally are at rest/peace in such human beings: while they are hostile towards those who are the opposite. These people – anti-Trump/anti-ICE/anti-Christan/MAGA et al. are full of RAGE & MURDER. Now they are throwing a HUGE FIT over the homeless camps being removed from D.C. (& other cities). My opinion does not matter here. This is the WAR between the GOP/Dems, between what is & what must be, needs to be DONE.
The Last State (vs.45)
I think back upon John S. Before his deliverance he was part of the Homosexual community. He kept himself up physically. In short, he didn’t look like a raving maniac, the way I last saw him after he forsook the WAY of righteousness. He could have died of HIV/AIDS. I never heard from him or of him after we left the city of Sacramento in 1989, moving to a new camp up at northern CA., from their to OR.
John was raised in a nice Christian home. The Homo Movement was beginning to rise in CA during the early-mid 1980s. We ministered to many. Some “hard core” ones would drive down from San Francisco to get deliverance. We, as a team, would go up there and pass out our Christian literature. We would go to the campuses too. We encountered much hostility, having our tables overturned & our literature thrown about. This still goes on all across America – even worse with the rise of Antifa, & the whole WOKE movement.
Evil habits are formed & strengthened by relapses; & relapses are multiplied, & become more incurable, through new habits, hence, a state of apostasy! No returning to God. This we also witnessed by one of our soldiers, Don Luther, who backslid, joined the media / our enemies camp in persecution. (note: I have reprinted one of his letters – written from a CA. prison – in our PX2 Files. Before his passing, after he had repented several times, after he kept falling back into sin, he told me (via letter) that he could not get back to God, hence, he said he would go to hell (in so many words). He died in that state of apostasy. Demons came back with their buddies & took total control of their former house.
If a repentant sinner does not allow the Spirit of God to “fill the house”, evil/unclean spirits will reenter & occupy the soul. The Bible instructs us to be Filled with the Spirit. The belief that a believer can’t fall away / lose their salvation is not true. Acts 5:3 refutes this – Ananias & Sapphira were believers who lied to the Holy Spirit. Peter says to them, “why has Satan FILLED your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit…?” – Acts 5:3 [see my many articles (posted) on this vital subject).
The idea that a Christian can’t have a demon (not demon possession but exercised by one – big difference) is untrue. If this were true, why do we see so much evil within the Church? If deliverance is just for the unsaved, once a demon is cast out, the victim must invite the Holy Spirit in (to occupy the unoccupied house). Jesus worked with both Jews (people of God) & non-Jews (pagans). He cast out devils & healed, showed mercy & was stern. I have many teaching on this subject. The Church of today could use a BIG DOSE of the HOLY GHOST!
[note: The designation “spirit” or “spirits” (pneumata) for evil supernatural beings is a usage not native to Greek, which favors daimon or daimonion, but has been imported from Jewish/Christian lit. under the influence of the use of Heb. rûah. “Spirit” (rûah or pneuma) is used in later Jewish writing for angels or demons (usually in the plural) at Qumran & in rabbinic & apocalyptic lit. The ref. to “evil spirits” & esp. “unclean spirits”, were the phrase is equated with “demonic spirits”, pneumata daimoniōn clearly shows a Jewish/Christian influence.
The early Church fathers used the words “evil spirits”. Early Patristic literature such as the Didache, 2 Clement, Polycarp’s Letter to the Philippians, the Martydom of Polycarp, the Epislte to Diognetus or the letters of Ignatius. But 1 Clement, Barnabas, Shepherd of Hemas, Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, et al. all write about “spirits” – evil/unclean/deceiving/error/foul/etc. as well as about “spirits” of the supernatural/natural world.
The Gnostic elite believe when they rid themselves of their bodies & (lower) souls, they will become “intelligent spirits” & companions of angels (see Irenaeus Haer. 1.7.1-2; 2.29.1).
This subject is vast. There isn’t enough being said/taught on the world of “spirits”. The nations are being destroyed by evil spirits as I write this. Be educated! Be free!
Extra: More on Ananias & Sapphira
Ananias means “Yahweh is gracious”; Sapphira means “beautiful”.
These two Jewish believers were guilty of embezzlement. (O.T. counterpart is found in Joshua 7:1, Achan who took part of the consecrated spoil). Peter confronted this couple: “Why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, & to keep back part of the price of the land?” (Acts 5:3). Some believe Ananias /Sapphira (A/S) were not Christians. The Word does not say either way but it implies so. The question asked, was A/S part of the group that “were all filled with the Holy Ghost”? (Acts 4:31). These filled believers “were of one heart & of one soul,” vs.32. Vs.34 says, “Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, & brought the prices of the things that were sold.” Here we can’t miss the implication that A/S were of the same group that were filled with the Holy Ghost. Chapter 5, verse 1 tells us that A/S were a couple that had sold a possession; vs.2 says they “kept back part of the price…” Acts 5:4 makes it clear that A/S were perfectly at liberty to keep their possessions if they so wished.
Company of Believers
Verse 32 of Acts 4, tells us that these were believers, not mere Jews under Judaism; they were Jewish believers: “Now the company of those who believed were of one heart & soul…”, meaning the whole body of Christians & is practically synonymous with “the Church”.
How did Satan enter Ananias/Sapphira, seeing they were Christian believers? How could they lie to the Holy Ghost? How is it that so many today have “the love of money” working in them?, which is the root of ALL evil. Not money alone but the love & lust of it. Did not Judas sell Jesus out for $$? Acts 1:15,17 tells us that Judas, “he was numbered with us, & had obtained part of this ministry” (vs.17). His end? “falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst…” (vs.18).
Satan filled the hearts of A/S (Acts 5:3); Satan entered Judas (Lk. 22:3). Paul turns a man over to Satan (1 Cor. 5:5). Paul also delivered Hymenaeus & Alexander over to Satan (1 Tim. 1:20). The idea that once saved one can never sin again (another popular FALSE teaching) or lose their salvation, has led many into ruin spiritually.
These unfaithful/unfruitful men/women in Church are called “black sheep”; still sheep! Ones like A/S, Judas et al. lost out entirely. I believe many in today’s Church (universal) are pretenders, and never were born-again. But the Bible does say some were born-again believers who turned aside unto Satan. These were not mere “black sheep” they become apostates.
Acts 5 tells us that A/S both dropped DEAD! Judgment! The writer of the Acts does not linger in sentimental sympathy over the end of this couple. What they did was FATAL! There are those who do not believe this account. They say it contradicts God’s love. Well, God’s TRUE love compasses both love & judgment. These liberal Churchites get offended at the thought of God judging anyone. Too bad. To them it offends the “tolerance” game that they have CULTivated in their liberal/PC/woke/lukewarm/apostate community. They want to DENY the right of God to correct/punish when needed.
It is good for today’s liberal “Christian” to remember that there has been from the beginning an “austerity” – a severe or stern manner – at the heart of Christian “love”. Today’s la la Church has PURGED the Word of its severity. They have flung wide the door of the WHORE that was once shut to both open & hidden sins. All, bar none, are welcome… bring in your sin! The gulf has had a bridge (false love) built across it. They have welcomed the GOATS along with the sheep; they have welcomed the tares along with the wheat. Today’s Church is infected with spiritual AIDS. And if there is a true Church, it is condemned by these reprobates that hate law & order.
God knows those who are His. Yes, sir, He knows those who make a pretense, a mockery: likewise, He knows who are true, loyal & upright.
Both wheat & weeds grow together, but only the wheat will be accepted – God WILL separate them in the END.
