Pt. 1
Prostituting the Gospel of Christ is an understatement! Can things get worse? I think so. You know us, Deborah & me; we have been condemning all this “Blab it Grab it” for decades. We have written, preached, taught, and lectured about the decline of right living (righteousness) & honesty since the early 1970s.
When we were in a Pentecostal Church (5 years) we learned a lot about the workings of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit. At the same time, we witnessed some things that were not of the Holy Spirit. But being newer converts – from a hippie life – we weren’t very versed in Scripture. We believed what we were taught. But some things we saw with our own eyes certainly weren’t in Scripture. We were in this Pentecostal denomination in 1972 & exited in 1977. Since then, we have been students, disciples under the persons of God, Jesus, & the Holy Spirit. They taught us. Not that we stopped going here & there for fellowship. No. We, being saved, water baptized & had experienced the Pentecostal baptism (with supernatural tongues), we were rejected many times when we wanted to fellowship other denominations. In our early years we were stopped at church doors and asked if we were tongue-talkers (a mock!). We always answered YES! Well, we were told we could not come in!! Yep! Stopped because we were “Pentecostal” / “Charismatic”. The “C” movement was just getting started; the “Pentecostal” movement was already old. Sadly, we’ve watched both fall into RUIN.
There is a SICKNESS in the Charismatic community like HIV/AIDS! Fatal! Apostasy is paramount. Money has become more important than fruit-bearing. I’ve written hundreds of articles over the years describing all this “religious” BS, “Belial Spit”. Instead of FEEDING the lambs/sheep, as Jesus told John in Jn. 21:15-17, “Feed My lambs”; “Tend My sheep”; “Feed My sheep”, we have wolves pretending to be shepherds/sheep who are FLEECING the sheep/lambs. Greedy snakes, flakes, fakes, hypocrites, blind guides, fools, serpents, vipers, liars, frauds, adulterers, adulteresses, homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals, queers, trans, deceivers, fornicators, idolaters, thieves, covetous, drunks, pill-popping druggies, revilers, extortioners, lewdness, evil eyes, blasphemy, prideful perverts, godless gods & goddesses, money-mongers, whoremongers, pimps, prostitutes, … scum of every sort – all claiming to be “Christian”. BIG DREAMERS, BIG FRAUDS. SCAMMERS! SEWER SECRETS yet to be revealed. Hustlers – “Give me your money!” DAMNED!!! This is today’s “Church” (with exceptions). The magnitude of scamming is OUT of CONTROL! Manipulation is out of CONTROL! Gimmicks are OUT of CONTROL! “Send me $100.00 and I send you this trinket (made in Communist China)”
Today’s Church is the Devils food. Yum, yum… eat, drink, & marry, be it homo or hetero, even marry your dog, horse or yourself. Yes, I’ve read when a lit. wedding was performed, the woman marrying herself. IDOLATRY!!!!
This is Evil!
I’m looking at Truth Bible Prophecy web site: “ALERT! The LARGEST PAGAN FESTIVAL is coming AUGUST 30.” We can thank all these phony “Christian” ministries for this upcoming event. Since they have become PAGAN themselves, the world’s pagans have ZERO FEAR of God, His Word, or His ministers. Oh, no, they mock them with glee. Some of these “Christian” ministries/ministers would feel right at home at this festival. And, I will add, some of these “pagans” would feel completely at home in these “Christian” ministries.
The “Burning Man” in the Black Rock desert in Nevada is not new. One comment reads: “Why are you fixed on pagan festivals? I thought we were supposed to focus on things that are pure & true & holy & just?” This person refers to Phil. 4:8 where Paul lists “things are true… noble… just… pure… lovely… good… virtue.” But he also says in Eph. 5:11, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful WORKS of DARKNESS but rather EXPOSE THEM.” (expose = reprove). If we’re to take Phil. 4:8 as the only text to go by, we’re going to end up just like the Church I’m exposing in this article. We think upon what is good AND we also EXPOSE what is bad. Now the Pagan Festival is not Christian, but we have every right to tell the world that God is displeased in such paganism – just as the sins mentioned in both the O.T. & N.T.
The Pagan Festival is a mockery of Jesus of course. Of course.
Lest We Forget
Read up on all the times the LORD GOD had Israel to overthrow pagan altars, break their pillars, burn their groves with fire! He also commanded them to hew down the graven images of their (devil) gods/goddesses – DESTROY the names of them! (Deut. 12:3, 4).
The Falling Away
The falling away of the “Christian” Church has opened the way for such an event. Other past events have come & gone but this one is to be the LARGEST in the world. Some consider “The Man” to be either Jesus or the Government. These “Burners” are coming from around the world, for a week of PURE PAGANISM.

I now want to explain my 3 Greek words in my title:
(1) kapēleuontes: “unlike so many, we do not PEDDLE the Word of God for profit” – 2 Cor. 2:17, NIV
The KJV has “corrupt the Word of God,” (or deal deceitfully with). The NKJV uses “peddling”, i.e., adulterating for gain. The RSB has “peddlers of God’s Word.” The RHM reads: “driving a petty trade with the Word of God.” The TCNT has, “not in the habit of making profit out of God’s Message.” The W.J. Conybeare reads: “I seek not profit by setting the Word of God to sale.” The Wey has “We do not adulterate God’s Word.” Goodspeed reads, “I am no peddler of God’s message, like most men.” Modern Eng. uses the word “trafficking”, & the Berkeley uses the word “peddle” as does the W.F. Beck version.
I personally like “peddle” or “peddling”, for it describes today’s money-grabbing Church, fame-grabbing Church. Greek kapēleuontes or kapēleuō means “to act as a peddler, trade in for profit (found in the Heb. – Gk. Key Study Bible (NIV) under Greek 2836 – καπηλεύω/kapēleuō. #2836 has a ref. to Strong’s #2585 = same Gk. word, kapēleuō, = “to retail, i.e. (by impl.) to adulterate (fig.): – corrupt, “a huckster”.
I need not go into all that could be said about all this fame & fortune stuff – the internet is full of exposares, Daystar, Copeland, Osteen, Hinn, K. Krick, and dozens & dozens more MEGA Churches & want-to-be MEGA. There is no end to the $$ corruption, false teachings, false worship, false prophecies/healings blah, blah, blah – all BAD!
(2) Dolountes = “we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways; we refuse to practice CUNNING or to TAMPER (our Gk. word here) with God’s Word….” – 2 Cor. 4:2, RSV.
Other versions use words like dishonesty, craftiness, deceitfully, shameful, deception, distort etc. – all what is found in today’s Church, be they Pentecostal, Charismatic, or what have you.
Dolountes (Gk.) = “tamper”. The TCNT reads, “refusing to adopt crafty ways, or to tamper with God’s message.” How many ministers use crafty ways, trickery, dishonest manipulations, distorting God’s Word for profit? Secret & shameful ways to extract $$ from people is old as the early Church.
(3) Katesthiei = “… you even put up with anyone who enslaves you or exploits you or takes advantage of you…” – 2 Cor. 11:20, NIV.
The NKJV version has the words “devours”, “katesthiei”. Other versions use the words “exploits”, “take advantage of”. Strong’s #2719 = katesthiō = “to eat down”, i.e. “devour”. Remember what Jesus said in Mt. 23:14?: “Woe to you, scribes & Pharisees, hypocrites! For you DEVOUR – katesthiō – widows’ houses, & for a pretense make long prayers…” Haven’t these ministries we write about devoured $$ from the poor & needy? No Shame!
Really, is today’s Church (with exceptions) any better than the Pagan festivals of today? At least Paganism is honest about who they believe in, who they worship. While they may “Burn the Man”, does not today’s cultish Church burn the people with lies & deception? The Gospel Message has been so distorted it has become a transmogrifying disgrace. The EXPLOITATION of the people is beyond words. The endemic & epidemic is world-wide.
Christlike or Christless?
Which is it?
The practical values of life in Christ were concretely exemplified in Paul’s life, as other N.T. authors. Finding an honest, hard-working (not BEGGING) man or woman of God in this generation is gonna be hard. Some of these cons, like Hinn & Copeland et al. are so rich yet, sick, ready to DIE!
The Word of God
Let us never turn from God’s Word, for it is “living & active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul & spirit… it judges the thoughts & attitudes of the heart.” – Heb. 4:12, NIV. The NKJV has “living & powerful”.

THE WORD, GOD’S REVELATION TO MAN
GOD WORKS THROUGH THE WORD
Satan has always bitterly and subtly fought God’s Word, because God works through His Word. When God desired to create a universe, He bought it into being by the power of His spoken Word.
The worlds were created by the Word of God. (See Hebrews 11:3.)
Every child of God was begotten, born of the Word. Scripture reads, “Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth” (James 1:18). And again, we read, “Seeing ye have purified your souls… love one another from the heart fervently; having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth” (1 Peter 1:22-23).
Then, after man has become God’s child, the food, the sustenance, and the maintenance of his spiritual life is the Word of God.
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)
Many churches are preaching, in the place of the Word, other themes that they consider more practical and in harmony with modern civilization. On the other hand, those who today are preaching the truth and are considered the most spiritual have no true conception of the sacredness of the Word of God and the place it should hold in their lives.
MENTAL ASSENT AND ITS ORIGIN
The utter commonness of the Word, which should have been our deliverance from ignorance and bondage, Satan has used to hinder the working of the Word in our midst.
The greatest weapon that Satan is using today to make the Word ineffectual is the weapon of mental assent. This weapon is utterly dangerous because it is so subtle. Mental assent is hard to recognize because it comes clothed in the terms of faith.
Before we can understand the difference between mental assent and faith, we must understand the meaning of each.
MENTAL ASSENT VERSUS FAITH
Faith is action upon the Word. Believing is fearlessly acting upon the Word. Mental assent is agreement that the Bible is true, but it is void of action.
Last Days, Last Hour?
Because of the condition of the world many believe the END is here! I believe it is God’s reckoning upon the Church & the world. Things are totally OUT of CONTROL! I’m looking at the post up on youtube: “We’re Living in the Last Seconds of the Last Days”. Well, I don’t know this to be true, but you can see that people are taking notice of world events.
When we started in earnest preaching about the Church/world condition back in 1980, we were quickly branded a CULT, a DANGEROUS Religious CULT!! We, to this day are still being called the same. But what we boldly pointed out back in the day was spot on. Here we are, Aug. 23, 2026. Much of what we predicted years ago are now in full-swing. Some of the church is finally waking up. Yep! WOKE UP! to realize the Church here in the U.S. is a glorified whorehouse run by pimps behind pulpits. While some are praying for a “Rapture” to take them “up, up & away”, others are enjoying the sights, the sounds, the sins of Sodom & Gomorrah. The world’s people are asking, “Is America entering into a civil war… again”? Others think we’re ready for WW3 – nukes & all.
The Great Falling Away?
What else can we call it? What we actually need is a GREAT FALLING AWAY from Sinfulness in the Church .But can people survive without their cell-phones? GASP!!!
I read so much about Bible prophecy being fulfilled… concerning THE END. The truth is, our END can come at any moment – are we ready to meet Jesus? God only knows the time to END the MADNESS. Amen!
