“You stupid idiot!” We’ve all heard this, haven’t we? We’ve all heard, “you stupid egghead!” So, when I say that we live in an age when America has a “Stupidity epidemic” I’m not stretching the truth. I am mainly referring to the political “left”, which is part of the democratic party. And, yes, there are “stupid idiots” on the right as well, but very few in comparison.
Stupid (according to the Oxford Languages)
Let’s define: Adjective, having or showing a great lack of intelligence or common sense, (e.g., “I was stupid enough to think I was not stupid!”). It means “silly or unwise, showing poor judgment or little intelligence.” If we look at the original meaning (“stupid” in the Cambridge Dict. = “struck senseless, amazed”:
Etymology = From Middle French stupide, from Latin stupidus, from stupeō (“be amazed or confounded, be stuck senseless”), from Proto-Indo-European (s)tup-, (s)tewp- (“to push, stick”), from Proto-Indo-European (s)tew- (“to push, hit”).
The Webster Dictionary says stupid means, “lacking intelligence or reason, brutish.” This pretty well defines todays DP/left – far left! How does one politely call one STUPID? The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines “Stupid” as “slow of mind, obtuse, careless in manner, lacking intelligence.”
Collins Dictionary has “lacking in common sense, perception, or normal intelligence.”

I could cite many more sources which include slang, synonyms, etc. But you get my point – we are living in a time when many have lost common sense, which, in turn, has led to violence – as we now are witnessing from the “Left”/ “DP” et al. We certainly are in a crisis here in America ever since Trump/Vance took office. E. Munk has also become a target: (for violence/hopeful, assassination for all 3!). What Does the Bible Say?
In the Bible, “stupid” (or related terms, e.g. “fool”/ “brute/brutish”) often refers to a lack of wisdom, knowledge, & understanding, which the person or persons refuse to be corrected. They hate & reject godly instruction/guidance, hence, they adhere to Unwise choices/actions.
Fool
This is used frequently (esp. in Proverbs), which means “stupid”. The Greek (Strong’s #3474) meaning (μωρός/móros) = “dull or stupid, heedless, blockhead, absurd, foolishness.” The Gk. means certain persons ignore wisdom resulting in thoughtlessness, eventually moral evil.
The Hebrew, ‘E veel,’ = “fool” comes from the noun ‘e ve let’, which means “stupidity, foolishness, & nothing” beyond that. Take note of the Heb. word ‘e veel’, & the English word, “evil”.
Proverbs
Proverbs lists 3 types of fools/stupids:
1) The swindler,
2) The sluggard,
3) The sociopath

Fool: Heb., [has several meanings] ‘evîyl
1). Prov. 7:22; 10:8,10; 11:29; 12:15; 15:2; 20:3; 24:7; 27:22; Hos. 9:7. This Heb. word means, “to be perverse; (fig.) = silly”;
2). Ps. 49:10; 92:6; Prov. 10:18,23; 13:16; 14:16; 17:10,12,16,21,24; 18:2; 19:1,10; 23:9; 26:1,4,5,6,8,10,11,12; 28:26; 29:11,20; Eccl. 2:14,15,16; 4:5; 6:8; 7:6; 10:12.
This Heb. word (kecîyl) means “stupid or silly;
3). 2 Sam. 3:33; Ps. 53:1; Prov. 17:7,21; Eccl. 10:14.
This word (nâbâl) means, “stupid; wicked (esp. impious), vile”;
4). 1 Sam. 26:21 (sâkal) means, “to be silly, be a fool”;
5). Eccl. 4:5; 10:3 (çâkâl) means, “silly, foolish, sottish”.
[note: look up the Heb. words foolish, foolishly, foolishness, fool’s, fools].
The Greek
The Greek also has several words for “fool”:
1). Luke 12:20; 1 Cor. 15:36; 2 Cor. 11:16; 12:6,11.
This word means (aphros/ἀφρός), “froth, foaming”. All one has to do is observe these Trump/Vance/Musk/GOP HATERS – they literally foam at the mouth with such hatred… as their demon-cratic party sinks lower in the swamp scum! Pathetic!
2). Mt. 5:22; 1 Cor. 3:18 (mōros/μωρός) means, “dull or stupid, heedless, blockhead, absurd, foolish”;
3). 2 Cor. 11:23 (paraphroneō/ παραφρονέω) means, “to misthink, i.e. be insane (silly) as a fool” [note: this Gk. word comes from phroneō, meaning “to exercise the mind, i.e. entertain or have a sentiment/opinion. This sums up today’s PC/Woke/DP/Leftists: they have their own vile/twisted opinions, which are rooted in hatred for that which is right, ethical, moral and good.
Get the Picture?
There is so much to consider when we deal with fools, the stupid, the violent. God calls rebels “Fools”. Fools are not just DUMB but REBELLIOUS (as per today’s setting in politics. Prov. 12:1 says, “whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is STUPID” (NKJV).
Did you know there are around 70 verses about “stupidity”? Jeremiah has the words “foolish” sottish, no understanding, no knowledge, Jer. 4:22. It would do the foolish & stupid to read God’s Word, rather than go by feeling – “I HATE the GOP/Christians etc.” Solomon wrote: “I applied mine head to KNOW, & to SEARCH, & to SEEK OUT wisdom, & the reason of things, & to KNOW the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness & madness.” – Eccl. 7:25. But “stupid is as stupid does!” These GOD hating rebels will not turn unto the ONE they hate. Pro. 12:28 says, “In the WAY of righteousness is LIFE…” Why do you want to live in DEATH?
Psalms 94:8 asked, “understand, ye brutish among the people: And ye FOOLS, when will ye be wise?” Proverbs 26:11 says, “As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a FOOL returneth to his folly.” And so it is. Soros FOOLS! Paid rebels! STUPID IDIOTS!… working for the DEVIL!!!
