WHEN OUR TIME ENDS upon earth, eternity begins. What awaits each and every individual is Heaven or Hellfire…eternal reward or eternal punishment! We can’t, as some try, magnify God’s love by minimizing His Holy Wrath against sin and the sinner. Did you know that Jesus spoke more about Hell then He did about Heaven? In fact some of the most sincere pleadings in the Bible are Jesus’ warnings to unrepentant unbelievers in danger of being caught under the terrible wrath of God. Yes, dear readers, it is in Scripture. In light of this, it is only in this context that the truth about God’s love can be understood, and I might add, appreciated.
HELL has been on trial for many years now. Liberal and perverted theologians have tried with untiring vigor to extinguish Hell’s fire. Critics and questionable Bible scholars have joined the ranks of the fire department, who twist out of context and manipulate the texts that plainly teach us the truth about the awful place called HELL and the LAKE of FIRE. Besides the anti-Biblical scholarship and preaching, the Truth remains—HELL is NEVER ENDING as well as HEAVEN. Both are ETERNAL and both are FINAL.
GOD has given men two options in this life: Jesus or satan, Heaven or Hell. And as already stated, satan has his ministers (passing as God’s ministers!) within the universal Body of Christ, diseasing the Body through heretical deviations, leaving it sick and dying everywhere. These parasites suck the life’s blood from the Church, robbing it of its 20/20 vision and Holy Ghost conviction of sin. If sin can be extinguished or even minimized, then Hell goes with it.
SATAN has done a fine job of modernizing and secularizing the Church of today. With this done, the world itself, our contemporary cultures, stumble along in gross darkness…heading towards eternal ruin. A faith that is secularized (worldly) does not always deny God or all His ways, but, as one writer stated, “it simply makes that truth (about sin and Hell) seem inconsequential…a faith that has become tame and harmless!”
TIME is too short for men to prepare for eternity. One author writes: “When I see Roman Catholics today losing time with the Virgin Mary (she is NOT our Savior!) and the saints, instead of waiting directly and personally on Christ, I say here is Mr. P. blunder.” This could also be said of most Protestants that give time, energy and lots of money to some pulpit star (male) or some dazzling darling (female) that looks like a street walker in Las Vegas, or some flaming evangelist or healing minister that puts on a grand ole show (like Benny Hinn) for their cooing dupes—it grieves the heart of Christ. Then we have Professor or Expert So-in-so that mesmerizes their students in the doctrinal and ecclesiastical realm of word games…all to seduce the stupid Christians (?) away from living the true and pure life of Christ. WHAT THE CHURCH NEEDS TODAY IS A GOOD DOSE OF THE FEAR OF HELLFIRE, AND A PURIFIED HEART (FROM THE MULTITUDE OF AMERICAN IDOLS AND WHOREDOMS!!). The Church needs a long period at the mourners bench, repenting and seeking their first love all over again.
What astounding revelations the Day of Judgment holds for most churchgoers: ALL THEIR DEVOTION FOR CARNALITY WILL GET THEM A FIRST CLASS TICKET TO THE LAKE OF FIRE THAT NEVER BURNS OUT. And that, “Knowing the time, that NOW it is high time to awake out of sleep” (Rom. 13:11). Make no mistake, most readers of this very article are probably asleep! Their lives are disheveled and damnable, yet they may be very religious.
When the Church has become secularized, it is, admittedly, tough to preach and teach the truth about HELL and its PUNISHMENTS. Not that this is all to minister about, but certainly a fact that needs attention. With all the mockery of HELL in music, art, media etc., the Church has picked up upon the cultural attitudes that abound. Of course the wicked One does not want HELL and its punishments to be taught, so he has his evil ministers within the Body of Christ that mock the very idea of eternal punishment.
It is these new (not really new at all, but new to each generation) exegetical concepts: annihilationism, postmortem evangelism, universalism, that cause the Church to fall into unbelief about unrepentant sinners (including Churchgoers and Christian believers) going to an eternal HELL. This is Biblical Orthodoxy. These supposed new exegetical discoveries cast a dark shadow of doubt upon the Church that has always believed in HELL consistently for centuries. All this unbelief, darkness, doubt, etc., is a result of the Church members’ not holding to the faith once delivered unto the saints. Surely as Heaven is real, Hell is also.
The teachings and warnings about HELL and SIN in general are all but gone from the Church of today. Most think little is lost and much is gained by not bringing up these “repulsive” subjects…so they are neglected. They are quite incompatible with today’s worldly marketing faith. Likewise with the Cross of Christ (dying to self-life)—the Church is all too eager and happy to drop this cruel and unnecessary subject, which, in consequence, has brought about this self-loving and self-indulging HELLBOUND CHURCH!
